Contestants are encouraged to wear a one
or two piece swim suit with a sarong if she
chooses.
During the on stage interview contestants will be
judged on current events, her platform, and/or
issues facing the continent of Africa or Liberia in
particular. The questions asked will be about
ones interests, personal views and goals.
No applause or comments will be allowed.
Choose a gown in your best color and style.
Contestants will wear their evening gowns during
the interview.
Choose an African inspired gown or suit
that best shows your style.
Judges will use the following scoring
criteria to judge the contestants:
Be creative with your talent. Talent may be
of your choice and done with taste and
respect. No props are allowed. Talent is 3
minute long and will be timed.

PHASES OF THE COMPETITION:

  • Be a female of Liberian descent
  • Be between 17 & 26 years of age
  • A High School senior (before July 27, 2008), college student or graduate
  • Be a resident of the state of New Jersey
  • Never given birth to a child
  • Develop a community service platform
  • Be of good moral character, and never arrested or convicted of a crime
  • Agree not to take any legal actions against the organization during or after the competition
