The Miss Liberia New Jersey Scholarship Pageant promotes and encourages education.  The pageant
    provides young women of Liberian descent a platform to express their views, promote their interests, and achieve
    their personal and professional aspirations while giving them an active voice in their communities.  

    The pageant is produced and hosted by Women's Vision for Progress.  Women's Vision for Progress is a not for
    profit, community-based organization headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.  Our mission is to mobilize
    financial and material resources to support our educational and charitable program activities of benefit to at
    risk-youth in New Jersey.

    The Miss Liberia New Jersey Scholarship Pageant  is a not-for-profit effort.  The pageant intends to provide
    educational scholarships to title winners as well as needy and deserving New Jersey women seeking financial
    assistance for college, vocational or trade school.

    Pageant proceeds will also help provide support for other youth educational and charitable programs and services.  
    Through the pageant we are committed to aiding in the development of the community and helping  improve the
    lives of young people.
